Appearance: Shinku isn't as small as one might think and her constitution boasts a
confidence afforded by a lifetime of martial training. Her hair is often kept in a simple back sweep with large portions of hair framing either side of her face, low cut bangs hanging before her eyes and a small pony tail at the back. She has no body markings or tattoos of any kind. This lack of unique identifiable features presumably makes it easier for her to blend into crowds and be forgotten, which is preferable for espionage missions. Her eye colour commonly varies between blackish brown and cherry brown but can sometimes appear an ominous shade of bright red depending on the lighting. Shinku's shadow clan often preys on the belief that they are related to the tengu by donning armor pieces of the mythical beings.

Among the various contacts Shinku has made is a mysterious "Purple Mage" going by the name Phane. Resourceful, illusive, intelligent and without allegiance to any City State, she has proven to be a valuable ally during Shinku's time in Eorzea.
Although their personalities are wildly different they quickly bonded over their departure from home and admiration for Eorzea's selfless heroes.
The two exchanged information and techniques for concealment and networking with Shinku even introducing Phane to the art of aetheric illusions to help her become a more effective agent.
